Who Are Those Composers ~ Michèle Auzépy




Michèle Auzépy was born in Paris, France in 1931. She was a composer for pop artists of the 1950s and 1960s. Often working with her lyricist sister Christiane Auzépy, she composed over 20 pop hits for such artists as Serge Reggiani, Monique Berland, Bourvil, Annie Cordy, Robert Pico and especially Sim. Auzépy also scored scores for television series such as ‘Poochie’, ‘Les Poupies’ and ‘Ty et Uan’. Her lone film score was for the 1965 Euro-Western “"Tierra de fuego” (Sunscorched) starring Mark Stevens, Mario Adorf and Marianne Koch.

Michèle Auzépy died in France on January 22, 2001 at the age of 70.
