Spaghetti Western Locations ~ Adios Sabata

We continue to our search for filming locations for the 1970 film “Adios, Sabata”. Sabata arrives in a Mexican border town, ties up his horse and enters a stable. He has observed banker Folgen has seen him and three of his Austrian henchmen start walking towards Sabata. One of the Austrian agents was present at the duel and knows Sabata’s plans. After Sabata enters the stable he sets up an ambush for the Austrians. When the three agents enter the stable, close the doors and pull their guns. Sabata’s plan goes into action. He releases a grain sack on a rope which sends the first agent into an empty trough and knocks him senseless. The second agent and the leader of the group is sent upstairs to the loft on a large dumbwaiter where Sabata send him flying out a second story window. The third thug steps into a rope noose that Sabata has cleverly covered with straw and upends him swinging back and forth as he threatens to kill Sabata when he is free. Sabata shoots the rope and the agent falls unconscious to the floor of the stable and rolls onto a squeeze box which emits a sour chord. Sabata tells the man,  “He played that rotten.” and then leaves the stable.

This scene is filmed in the Italian western set at Elios Studio in Rome, Italy.
