A certain character named Chamaco, accompanies Lucas on the last leg of the trip. Lucas replaces the load of paper with another where a bag of poker chips are hidden, which will be exploited in the local saloon along with Terrail. At the saloon the two fall into an ambush plotted by Masters, who controls all the illegal activities in the area. Employed by Masters works an old failed painter, wanted by the police for his work as a forger and comes into conflict between Lucas and Masters. During the night, after a violent shootout, Lucas and Terrail have the upper hand on Masters and his band, but then Terrail tries to kill his partner. The intervention of Lazar, a Mexican and unseen witness to all the events, sets things right.
