Remembering Mario Gariazzo


Mario Gariazzo was born on June 4, 1930 in Biella, Italy. A producer, director, screenwriter and film editor, he was active for 30 years from 1962's “Passport for a Corpse” until “Che meraviglia amici!” in 1992. Overall he directed 18 films and wrote the screenplays for 21. He used the aliases Paul Paget, Robert Paget, Roy Garret(t) and John Walker. During his career he worked on five Euro-westerns: writing the screenplay for “The Long Day of the Massacre” (1968) with Peter Martell, directing “God Will Forgive My Pistol (1969) with Wayde Preston, screenplay and direction for “Drummer of Vengeance” and “Holy Water Joe” (1971) both with Ty Hardin and wrote the screenplay for “In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Colt” (1971) with Craig Hill. Today we remember Mario Gariazzo on what would have been his 80th birthday.

  2. Yes, Bianchi directed "In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Colt", and Gariazzo wrote the screenplay.
